Assistant Controller
Department: Accounting

Angel Fire Resort, located about 30 miles North of Taos, is now accepting applications for an Assistant Controller / Senior Accountant. Position Summary: Provides assistance to the Corporate Controller in overseeing the Accounting Department to insure that all responsibilities within the department are completed accurately and as scheduled, including the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, general ledger functions, and daily accounting support functions. This position will provide technical expertise and direction to the development of: the annual operating budget and long range plan, forecasts; budget vs. actual variance analysis, closing out, daily, monthly, and year end accounting processes; as well as, the generation of ongoing financial reports for ownership and department heads in the organization, including but not limited to the preparation of monthly income statements, balance sheet and Board packages. Education and Experience Requirements: Applicants must have a BA/BS in Accounting with a minimum of 8 years experience in Accounting, Auditing, and/or Finance with increasing levels of responsibilities. Applicants must also have at least 3 years of resort industry accounting experience. Prior managerial/supervisory experience required. Salary is based on experience and industry standards.
