The AFR golf course is slated to open May 9th this year with a closing date of October 19th.

The Resort has dropped the price on it's Stay & Play package to $89!!!!

If you haven't played the course - it's worth the trip. True alpine golf - alot of elevation changes, incredible views, mountain streams running along and through many of the holes, aspen and fir trees everywhere. The layout is really top notch and conditions are really solid by Memorial Weekend.

I could not agree more, Doug. AFRGC is a fantastic track. Stunning views, great conditions, and one of the most breathtaking par 3's in the country with a 200 foot elevation drop from tee to green. And, if you were never sure about the ball travelling further at high elevation...well, it does!! One of our most pleasant surprises since becoming "second-home" owners in AF is how much we have enjoyed the "off" season there (see Monte Verde Lake post as well). Here is a picture looking down the 11th fairway. You can pick any hole, though, and they all have incredible views.
