Angel Fire Resort Selects New Golf Course Superintendent

Angel Fire, NM – April 29, 2005. Angel Fire Resort today announced the appointment of John Greene, an experienced and highly-regarded course maintenance supervisor from Colorado, to Golf Course Superintendent. In this position, which he began March 7th, John will oversee all aspects of course maintenance, including mowing, fertilization, irrigation and drainage, new equipment leasing, and some new golf course construction projects.

“With the last name Greene and a career surrounding golf courses, we expect John will be nothing less than a perfect fit as Angel Fire Resort’s new golf course superintendent,” said Jon Mahanna, general manager at Angel Fire Resort. “His philosophy is a simple one that resonates with every golfer-- keep it clean and keep it green.”

Greene brings over fifteen years of golf course maintenance experience to his job. Prior to his move to Angel Fire, he was the Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Vista Ridge Golf Club in Erie, Co. He also spent time as an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent and Irrigation Supervisor at The Broadmoor Golf Club and Resort in Colorado Springs, CO.

Greene’s interests in addition to golf include mountain biking, skiing and motorcycling.
