Angel Fire Resort Set to Roll Into Winter!

Angel Fire Resort Set to Roll the ‘Best Snow in Years’ Into Another Terrific Ski & Snowboard Season

New Terrain, Pass Products & Renovations Add to What’s New for 2007-08

ANGEL FIRE, New Mexico (September 6, 2007) – Angel Fire Resort, New Mexico’s top year-round mountain playground, is gearing up for another great winter season. Coming off the best snow conditions in over a decade, the resort continues to upgrade the mountain, surrounding facilities and offers for families, including a multi-million dollar hotel renovation, expanded glade skiing terrain, new season pass products and the first-ever resort-wide Gift Card.

“For a major part of January and February last season, Angel Fire Resort not only had some of the best snow conditions in the state but throughout the country,” says Dan Rakes, president of Angel Fire Resort Management, LLC. “We are already feeling the anticipation for another great winter, through early reservations, group bookings and interest in our season pass offers. We’re very excited for what’s in store for our winter visitors this year.”

Hotel Remodel
Angel Fire Resort’s 120-room slopeside hotel will undergo an eighteen month remodel beginning this Fall—with a new fitness center, upscaled common areas, and four “showcase” hotel rooms providing a preview look at the finished product. The finished remodel will include a comprehensive facelift for both the exterior and interior of the hotel, 100% guest room remodels, refurbished parking areas and group meeting facilities and the latest in technology upgrades.

The Angel Fire Resort Hotel remodel will be designed by Living Designs Group, best known for their award-winning design of the five-star El Monte Sagrado Hotel and Spa in Taos, NM. They are also the architects of the highly anticipated Angel Fire Resort Country Club facility currently under construction. Interiors will be designed by the international firm Zimmer Associates of Santa Fe, NM. Current projects include the historical restoration of El Encanto Hotel in Santa Barbara, CA and the restoration of the Casa Sierra Nevada in San Miguel, Allende.

New Glade Skiing Terrain
Angel Fire Resort will boost its claim to the most varied terrain in New Mexico, with the addition a new ten-acre glade skiing area to its mountain. The new addition will be situated on the backside of the mountain, in the trees between the existing ski trails “Fire Escape” and “Hallelujah”. This will be the third glade ski area addition in the past three seasons, adding to Angel Fire Resort’s current terrain for all abilities, including 72 trails on 500+ ski-able acres, two terrain parks, extensive cross-country trails, a four-lane tubing hill and New Mexico’s only freestyle half-pipe.

The Southern Rockies Passport
Angel Fire Resort’s new unlimited season pass offers one of the best pass skiing values in the Rockies. The Southern Rockies Passport may be purchased until November 5th for $399 adults/ $249 Juniors, Students & Military and after November 5th for $499/ $299 Juniors, College Students & Military. The pass offers unlimited skiing and boarding at Angel Fire, as well as three days of free skiing each at Crested Butte, Monarch Mountain and Pajarito Ski Area. In addition the card will have a $50 stored value which can be redeemed at any Angel Fire Resort retail outlet or food establishment. The stored-value feature can be re-charged at any point-of-sale location as a guest convenience. Other season pass options include: Sundays Only Season Pass good for every Sunday of the season for just $149.

Lift Tickets & Packages
Angel Fire Resort offers tremendous value when compared to the $70 ticket cost and long lines of many Colorado resorts. For the 2007-08 season, the resort will re-introduce the Teen ticket for $49 full-day. This pricing will be good for youths between 13-17 years of age. The Junior full-day ticket will be $39 for guests 7-12 years old and the Adult lead ticket price for guests 18-69 years of age will be set at $59. Ages 70 and over and 6 and under ski for free. Angel Fire Resort will also be offering some of last winter’s popular promotions, including Kids Stay, Eat & Ski Free, the 5th Grade Free promotion and You Keep the Gear packages.

Angel Fire Resort Gift Card
In response to frequent guest inquiries, Angel Fire Resort will rollout a resort-wide gift card program this winter season. The Angel Fire Resort Gift Card provides guest convenience for easy, quick checkout at resort restaurants, retail, ski school, rental shop and other participating venues. The card can be used to set and monitor spending for families with kids, as well as for gift purchases. The gift cards can be purchased at Angel Fire Resort retail locations, can be charged with any cash value above $10, do not expire, can be re-charged, and balances can be checked conveniently via the resort’s website.

Opening Day
The resort’s annual Benefit Day will take place on Friday, December 14th with all lift tickets priced at $15. 100% of the lift ticket proceeds will be donated to Music From Angel Fire in honor of their upcoming 25th Anniversary. The official opening day of the resort will take place on December 15th.
