New Outdoor Recreation Partners and Promotions Slated for
ANGEL FIRE, New Mexico (Wednesday, May 7th, 2008)— Following on the heels of a great winter ski and snowboard season, Angel Fire Resort is expanding its 2008 summer activities schedule and adding new partners and ‘high adventure’ outdoor recreation options to the mix.
“When people think of summer in Angel Fire they generally think of our PGA-championship golf course,” says Jon Reveal, chief operating officer for Angel Fire Resort. “This summer we’re going to create an exciting list of new options for group and family fun outdoors. The plan is to extend operations, add ATV tours, mountain bike rentals, fly fishing clinics, riding tours and more, this is just the start. Stay tuned. With so much to do, plus the beauty of the scenery and our cool summer temperatures, it’ll be a hard call not to extend any vacation here in the Southern Rockies.”
Angel Fire Resort’s summer kicks off May 10th with the season opening of the 18-hole golf course, followed on May 21st by the opening of The Chile Express chairlift for scenic rides and mountain biking, the opening of the Summit Haus restaurant, base area kids’ activities such as the Climbing Wall and Eurobungy, exciting new vendor activities and much more. Weekend summer operations continue through the Labor Day holiday in September.
As added incentive for staying and playing in the area, Angel Fire Resort will promote the Summer High Adventure Passport to hotel and condo guests as well as through the Angel Fire Visitors Center and Chamber of Commerce. This comprehensive deal-book features great offers for the full gamut of activities, from horseback tours to fly-fishing, river rafting, wine tours, hot air balloon rides and more. The Summer High Adventure Passport represents a savings of over $500 to vacation visitors in Angel Fire.
