Jack Ingram to Headline Big Ol' Texas Weekend January 24th

Award Winning Texas-Country Artist to Perform for
Live, All-Ages Concert on Saturday, January 24, 2009

ANGEL FIRE, New Mexico (Tuesday, November 25, 2008) – Texas-country recording artist Jack Ingram will perform live at Angel Fire Resort on January 24th as headliner of the ski resort’s annual Big Ol’ Texas Weekend, co-presented by the Big I 107.9, and sponsored by Budweiser. The critically acclaimed singer-songwriter was the recipient of the 2008 Academy of Country Music Award for Top New Male Vocalist of the Year.

“Jack Ingram is an incredible talent,” says Dave Dekema, director of marketing for Angel Fire Resort. “His deep Texas roots and mass appeal in both the country and crossover music scenes make him the perfect choice for both out-of-state and in-state visitors alike. There is no question this winter concert is going to bust this party open.”

Ingram started his career over a decade ago in the hardscrabble honky-tonks and dancehalls of Texas. He quickly earned the respect of his peers and the praises of country legends such as Waylon Jennings and Billy Joe Shaver. Last summer, he reached #1 on Billboard’s country singles chart with “Wherever You Are.” This was quickly followed by “Love You” which also ascended into the Top Ten. His latest album, This Is It, hit the stores in 2007.

The concert is general-admission, and will be held in a large, heated and enclosed big-top tent. Concert tickets are available for advance-purchase for $25 ($30 day-of-show) at www.angelfireresort.com/jackingram. Weekend packages are available through Angel Fire Resort Lodge starting as low as $79 per person per night and include lodging, lift tickets and concert tickets. Pricing is based on double occupancy and a two night minimum and does not include taxes and fees.

Other events planned for the Big Ol’ Texas Weekend, January 23-25th include the return of the teX Games, the Big Texan College Steak Eating Challenge, radio station contests, a variety of live entertainment and a Friday evening Boot Stompin’ Barn Dance & Barbeque.
