10,000th Rider will receive a year of season passes for two
ANGEL FIRE, NM (July 30, 2009)— Angel Fire Resort today announced it is poised to reach a new record number of summer riders on its Chile Express chairlift. The question is not “if” but “when” in August the 10,000th summer guest will load the chairlift. To celebrate the occasion, Angel Fire Resort will give the lucky 10,000th rider a year of free chairlift passes for two people—that’s unlimited winter and summer riding for two people—a package valued at over $1,300.
The resort’s summer numbers have been growing steadily for the past several years as the mountain develops its summit activities such as disc golf, mountain biking, hiking, horseshoes and the expansion of the Summit Haus food and beverage service. Angel Fire Resort also introduced a new pricing structure for one-time scenic rides, including a family pass called the “Altitude Adjustment.”
“The Chile Express chairlift offers a two mile ride to one of New Mexico’s highest peaks complete with a panoramic view of the valley from 10,650’,” says Dave Dekema, director of marketing for Angel Fire Resort. “We’ve created family lodging deals to entice folks away from the scorching hot cities. And we have expanded our mountain activities so there is plenty to choose from when you make it to the summit. Whether you’re a mountain biker, hiker, disc golf player or just along for the ride, Angel Fire Resort gives you a number of reasons to come up for air.”
The Altitude Adjustment Family Pass sells for $40 and includes a ride for two adults and up to four kids…potentially a savings of greater than 50 %. The Gravity Pass is back and offers unlimited chairlift rides all summer long for $149. Individual passes run $15 for one round-trip ride and $30 for all-day, unlimited access.
