AFR Invites You to Fall in the Mountains

The Changing of the Aspen Leaves, Intense Mountain Bike Competition, Oktoberfest Fun and Special Lodging Packages Make Angel Fire Resort the Place to Visit in October

ANGEL FIRE, New Mexico (September 26, 2009) – Angel Fire Resort announced today its new lodging packages for the fall along with several entertainment options ranging from the Red Bull Burner, an endurance twelve hour downhill competition, Weekly Wine Pairing dinners at the newly revamped Caliente Grill, and an Oktoberfest party authentic enough to bring out the German in everyone.

Lodging Packages Starting at $79
The magestic Sangre de Cristo mountains of Angel Fire, New Mexico are known for their incredible fall colors when the Aspen leaves change from their delicate green to vibrant gold. The visual of the tall white trunks topped with a plethora of gold against a blue bird sky is the subject of thousands of paintings and photographs.
Now visitors can take a break from the stress of everyday life and enjoy some downtime in the mountains with the resort’s “Fall Blazin' Glory” promotion. Package includes a $79 room rate in the Lodge plus the third night FREE.

Red Bull Burner Returns to Angel Fire October 9th-11th
Do you have what it takes to ride our mountain for 12 hours straight? The Red Bull Burner is back! Big cash payout and lots of prizes. You don't want to miss out on the last mountain bike event of the season. If riding isn't your thing, but you want to see some incredible mountain biking action, this is the weekend for you!

Angel Fire Resort is hosting an Octoberfest party on Saturday, October 24th. The festivities will include German Beer, authentic German Bratwurst with Sauerkraut and beer sauce and Bavarian Pretzels all prepared by Chef Mathias Klemmt (the last name should be a clue as to the German authenticity). The party will take place from 5pm-10pm in the Village Haus with live music and traditional Oktoberfest games. Attendees must be 21 and over.

Autumn Wine Pairing Dinners at Caliente Grill
For three weeks this fall during the prime foliage season, Angel Fire Resort will be hosting Wine Pairing Dinners. Calling All Flakes Snowcalling Celebration Set for November 14th
Saturday, November 14th Angel Fire Resort will host the fourth annual Calling All Flakes celebration. Angel Fire Resort created this event the year following the worst snow in history as a means of rallying the local moral and calling in the snow for a great winter season. Whether because of the ceremony or just great luck, over the past three years the resort has experienced tremendous snow season and anticipate this year being just as great.. The event will start at 6pm in the Angel Fire Resort parking lot for this annual membership social and community celebration. Festivities will include a giant bonfire, live entertainment, burning of the Snowzobra, a traditional Native American drumming ceremony, snowcalling contest and fun, fun, fun. This year we are pleased to be joined by special guest and emcee for the evening, Mark Ronchetti. Mark is the well known chief meteorologist from KRQE Channel 13 and FOX 2 out of Albuquerque.
