Chile Challenge Welcomes Top U.S. Mountain Bikers

Over 1,000 Gravity & Endurance Riders On-hill June 4-6, 2010

ANGEL FIRE, NM (June 1, 2010)—The 22nd Annual Chile Challenge Mountain Bike Festival hits the trails at Angel Fire Resort starting Friday, June 4, 2010. The event organizers, Big Foot Productions, expect over a thousand mountain bikers in four competitive mountain bike disciplines: Downhill, Super-D, Cross-country (XC), and Mountain-Cross (4X).

“Angel Fire has some of the most challenging terrain for Downhill in all the mountain states cup racing,” says Keith Darner, Race Director for Big Foot Productions. “The super "D" most certainly puts the "D" back in super "D". The Cross Country is a phenomenal course with lots of elevation gain and loss and a descent with an amazing stretch of single track that riders dream about. The Mountain Cross course is of world cup caliber and taxes even the best of the pro field!”

Angel Fire Resort has partnered with New Gravity Creations this year to improve and expand its core mountain bike trail system. The group from Austin, TX has been working for the past month on a variety of different aspects of the trail system to ensure Angel Fire remains the best ride in the Rocky Mountains for the Chile Challenge competitors as well as summer visitors.

A complete Chile Challenge event schedule is available at www.angelfireresort.com or www.racemsc.com.
