Open to the public—skiers and boarderswelcome. Check out Angel Fire Resort’s NASTAR racecourse located just above the base area on the front side of our mountain.It’s the same race course the University of New Mexico ski team trains on when they’re in town. Register to race at the Snowsports office next to the Lift Ticket Office, or at the starting gate once the course is open.

NASTAR (National Standard Race) offers recreational racing with a giant slalom format. The course is designed for skiers and riders of all ages and abilities. Participants who score within an appropriate percent of the pacesetter time will win a platinum, gold, silver or bronze medal, right at the finish! It’s a great way to test and improve your skills, and wage some friendly competition on the slopes. Compare your scores and national ranking, for your age group, with those of other racers throughout the country, by going online to www.NASTAR.com. Family and friends, ski shops and ski clubs can also compete as teams by registering in those categories.

Rate: Up to 3 runs – $5
Resort members in good standing receive unlimited complimentary runs.

Friday — 4:30pm – 7pm

Availability based on conditions, events and business levels. NASTAR may close at any time due to changing course conditions. Please check with the Ski School Ticket Office located at the base area for current availability to NASTAR Race Course. Or call 575-377-4383 for daily availability.
