Angel Fire Shovel Race Championships
Date: February 5th and 6th
The legend that is the Angel Fire Shovel Race Championships returns February 5th and 6th on the face of Exhibition. Watch racers as young as 6 years old all the way to adults fly down the single lane course. Prizes will be given to the winners at the Awards After Party in the Village Haus. Live entertainment with DJ T-Money and Albuquerque's own Asper Kourt.
Schedule:

Practice and registration day. Officials will be at the top of the course to assist. Practice times are 9am- 4pm. There will be a mandatory riders meeting at 5 pm in the Village Haus. |
| February 6th: | Final registration and race day. Awards party in the Village Haus at 5 pm. |

Format & the Course: Single course, Exhibition. One competitor at a time on the race course. Competitors will race during their scheduled category time. Competitors will complete one run, and immediately go back to the start to complete their second run.
Prizes: The top 3 best times in each class will receive prizes. Also, a prize will be awarded for overall fastest time.
Awards After-Party: Over $1000 Cash/AFR Gift cards, certificates, prizes and sponsorship donations will be awarded in the Village Haus around 5 pm. Enjoy DJ T-Money and live entertainment from one of Albuquerque’s greatest bands “ Asper Kourt”
Other important information:
- All racers must have a lift ticket or season/membership pass to access lift #2.
- Lift tickets to access lift #2 will be sold at registration for $10
- Practice day is free (lift tickets still $10)
- Everyone will be required to sign a release. Releases will be available during registration.
- Angel Fire Resort will have a very limited number of shovels for use so it is recommended that all racers bring their own shovels. Helmets and eye protection are required , but will not be supplied by Angel Fire Resort. Ski or Snowboard helmet required. On-site rentals available.
- Production Shovels only, no modifieds
