The New Angel Fire Nordic Center!
Our big news for this season, we’ve opened a new, state-of-the-art Nordic Center at the Angel Fire Resort Country Club. It’s certain to become your family’s off-the-mountain winter playground!
Just minutes from the slopes, the new Angel Fire Resort Nordic Center offers 10 kilometers of groomed classic and skate cross-country ski trails, plus snowshoeing lanes and a family snow play hill for sledding. Lessons, equipment rental, retail and pull-sleds are available in the full-service winter sports shop downstairs. When you’re done playing outside and need to warm up, come into the Club and grab a hot chocolate and enjoy the beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

On the ski hill, we are proud to announce the addition of a new expert trail called C-4. A short 15 minute hike from the top of the Southwest Flyer chairlift, C-4 will top the adventurous skier and boarder’s “must hit” list on any fresh powder day.
Angel Fire Resort has also bolstered its freestyle parks with exciting new features. We’ve added more than a dozen high-quality freestyle rails and fun box features, include the most popular flat rails, rainbows, double-kinks, C-rails and a few surprises.
We’ve also spent over a million dollars in improvements to our Lodge – with renovations to the lobby and our guest rooms. Including flat-screen TVs, better lighting, new bedding and remodels to our guest common areas.
While some big changes are underway, our most popular programs remain untouched. Kids ages 6 and under, adults 70 and over and Fifth Graders ski & ride for free, all season long. Also not changing? Our family-friendly lift ticket prices. Angel Fire Resort remains one of the best value ski experiences in all of the Southern Rockies!
Coming in summer 2012: The Angel Fire Zip Line Adventure Tour! Guests will soon be able to add zip-lining to their menu of activities at the resort. Starting July 2012, Angel Fire will offer a multi-station, mountaintop Zip-Line Adventure Tour. Starting at the 10,600’ elevation summit of the ski mountain, Angel Fire’s Zip Line Adventure Tour will be among the highest point-to-point Zip Line tours available anywhere.
