Ski and Ride into the Night!
New this winter, Angel Fire Resort rolls out the first and only nighttime skiing and snowboarding in New Mexico. We’re lighting up 50 acres for fun after dark, including Exhibition, Ridge Run, Valley and Dreamcatcher. A set of freestyle park features including jumps, rails and fun boxes will be open during the evening hours, plus the timed NASTAR race course and the Polar Coaster tubing hill. Night skiing and snowboarding is available 4pm-9pm, Thursday through Saturday throughout the season, and seven days a week during peak holiday periods. Check out great food, warm drinks and live music nightly in the Village Haus during nigh skiing sessions.
Also on the mountain, we’ve built a great new children’s progressive learning trail we’re calling Bominable. This half-mile trail is located near the ski trails Jasper’s and Bodacious. It features snow ball throws and a ski through tee-pee and fortress. Bominable boosts Angel Fire’s current terrain for all abilities, including 73 trails on 560+ ski-able acres, two terrain parks, extensive cross-country trails and a three-lane tubing hill.
Visit the newly remodeled Headin’ Home ski shop on the lower base area deck next to the Village Haus. Now more than a souvenir shop, it offers a wider selection of quality gear and merchandise than ever, including the latest and greatest skis and boards, boots, outerwear, helmets, gloves, goggles, sunglasses, hoodies and other necessary fashion accessories.
We’ve also re-opened the popular backside restaurant, The Mountain Haus, after two seasons in hiatus. Together with its upstairs bar and outside seating and dining on the sundeck,The Mountain Haus offers the best place to people-watch on the slopes. Insiders know the Mountain Haus is a convenient choice for avoiding the crowds at the frontside restaurants during the busiest weekend days.
While some big changes are underway, our most popular programs remain untouched. Our low daily lift ticket prices have not been changed. We continue to offer our “Kids Stay, Ski & Eat Free” packages during popular winter travel times. Plus, kids ages 6 and under, adults 70 and over and Fifth Graders ski & ride for free, all season long.
