The 5th Annual New Mexico Texas Shootout Team Tournament Fundraiser For the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society;  Cowboys (Saturday) & Cowgirls (Sunday)

The Texas Shootout is the brainchild of Angel Fire Tennis Director Brett Hall.  The tournament is unlike any tournament you have ever participated in before.  It is a round robin team format with a team match consisting of three doubles teams.  The team must win two out of three matches for a team victory.  Each individual match is a giant 41 point tie-breaker and requires a scorekeeper.

Entry fee is $65 per player and includes a Mexican buffet dinner, auction and awards with special guest speaker, Frank Froehling, on the evening of July 22nd. He is currently the account executive and project manager for Fast Dry Court Construction Company in Florida. He is also a former world class player and leukemia survivor.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is the world’s largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research and providing education and patient services. Founded in 1949, we are relentless in pursuit of our mission: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.

Youth Camps

Ages 10 and Under

10 and Under Tennis follows the same logic as other youth sports like baseball or soccer, which use kid-sized courts and equipment. Now with 10 and Under Tennis, the softer balls bounce lower, don’t move as fast through the air and are easier to hit. By using this format, the benefits are immediate and within a short time kids are rallying, playing, and excited to keep playing. Kids learn tennis faster and can master skills before moving on to the next level. They are also playing real tennis with shorter matches.
