El Jefe Dia de Los Muertos End of Season Party
Closing Dia de Los Muertos Party
Celebrate the end of the season at Angel Fire Resort with our first annual Dia de Los Muertos Party at El Jefe on November 2nd.
Complete with an authentic ofrenda, piñata, sugar skulls and margaritas, the Dia de Los Muertos Party will have something for everyone of all ages to enjoy. The festivities are set to begin at 2 pm, with candy bingo and face painting.
As the children color and decorate their own sugar skull mask, treat yourself to a Marigold Margarita, and happy hour specials from El Jefe’s menu. Finish off the night with local troubadour Ry Taylor, who will perform an acoustic set from 6-9pm.
Dia de Los Muertos is a traditional Mexican festival that is honored and celebrated throughout the Southwest and especially in New Mexico. The holiday stems from a combination of All Saints Day from the Catholic holy calendar and traditions of the Aztecs. Instead of mourning those who have passed, the tradition is to honor the dead with fiestas, food and drink.
