Fire 5 Downhill Race Series – Race #2 Recap

July 30, 2018

Well, folks, Race #2 of the Fire 5 Downhill Race Series is a wrap and it did not disappoint! We started out with the Lil’ Shredders on Saturday, and let me tell you, those pint-sized kiddos ripped it down the technical and skinny turns of Sierra like it was no biggie – we were sure impressed by the youngest shredder, 5-year-old Titus, giving it his best!

2   668      Ethan Hofmeister

The racing continued Sunday, where the juniors, open men and women, and pro men and women left the brakes at home and hung on for dear life through the chunky chunk of Mini Boogie into the flowy berms of Diesel (don’t be fooled, though, Diesel still gave them a run for their money!). The categories were pretty competitive, with top spots being nabbed by only seconds. There were a couple categories that left cash money and sweet prizes up for grabs (we’re lookin at you, lady shredders!) but overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better group of riders!

Sound like a lot of effort? Don’t worry, we’re sweetening the pot –  on top of our usual top-notch prizes from Fox and Schwalbe, there will be $1000 payouts and Fox Carbon ProFrame helmets on the line. Yeah, we can hear you drooling from here. So get yourself pre-registered to save $10 on your entry fee and 50% on lift tickets all weekend, and don’t miss the premiere race event of the summer!
