Winter Carnival: A Feast For The Eyes
Come one, come all to Angel Fire Resort’s first Winter Carnival & last Shovel Race. And step right up to a weekend chock-full of free family fun. Carnival-goers: prepare to feast your eyes and ears on all things spectacular. Angel Fire Resort’s base area will be transformed into a Coney Island-style boardwalk.
The flagship attraction will be a full-size Merry-Go-Round! The ride promises entertainment for kids of all ages. The midway featuring games like ring toss, spill the milk, ax throwing and more. Win a prize or take home photos and memories of your family that are sure to last a lifetime.
The first ever Winter Carnival will be held in conjunction with The Last Shovel Races, a long-held tradition at Angel Fire Resort. Bring the whole family to play all day at the base of the mountain, participate in shovel races, or just be a spectator and take it all in.
Angel Fire favorite Jimmy Staddler and his band will perform during the awards party at Village Haus on Saturday. He’s bringing out all of his biggest hits and will help us wrap up a day of racing, games and snow play.
Carnival games and rides will be open from noon to 4 pm Thursday through Saturday, and 10 am to noon on Sunday. There is sure to be something for everyone from skiing and snowboarding, to games and rides. Help us say goodbye to a fun tradition as we welcome something bigger and better.
