Member Races

Join us for the 2nd annual “Hatch Chili Challenge” Member Races on Saturday, January 24th! Race begins at 12 PM at the dual start on Exhibition. Skiers, snowboarders, and snow bikers welcome!

Format

• Dual Challenge: No time clock—race head-to-head against a partner of your choosing.
• Each racer will be randomly assigned to the Green Chile Team or the Red Chile Team, opposite their partner.
• Two race courses side by side: One run on the blue course and one on the red course. You’ll race your partner twice.
• Team scores are tallied based on individual wins to determine the overall winning team!

Registration

• Sign up with your partner at the Member Weekend Kickoff Concert at the Angel Fire RV Resort on January 23rd (5 PM – 8 PM) or at Village Haus on Saturday, January 24th (9 AM – 10 AM).
• No partner? No problem! You’ll be paired with another racer on race day.
• Odd numbers? A coin flip at the start line will determine which team a single racer competes for. Finish both runs to earn 1 point for your team!

Awards & Chili Social

Team Awards:

• Gold medals for the winning team
• Silver medals for the runner-up team
• Awards ceremony and team photo immediately following the race at the finish line.
• Celebrate at the Chili Social on the Cocoa Shack Deck with a bowl of chili, included for every racer!
• We’ll have hot cocoa for the spectators on the sidelines.
