How We Group Kids and What Progress to Expect

  • Ages: Children’s group lessons serve ages 4-12, with on-snow level checks at check-in.
  • Grouping factors: Age, ability, confidence, and pace.
  • Progress: Every child learns at a different pace. Our goal is safe skill building, confidence, and fun.
  • Lift riding: Instructors will determine when a child is ready to ride lifts with the group.

We have been developing this program for decades and are experts at specific age development, their respective competencies, and teaching at the appropriate pace and with the correct practice to create lifelong skiers and riders. We coach for breakthroughs and challenge new terrain when it is appropriate. We never push children out of their comfort zones for the sake of more difficult terrain goals. In addition, we believe in pleasure and play and that the best skier on the mountain is the one having the most fun!

See charts below for what to expect from your child’s lesson
