Adaptive Lessons Using Standard Equipment
In addition to sit-ski and adaptive snowboard programs, we also offer adaptive lessons that use standard ski equipment. These lessons are designed for individuals who are able to stand and move independently but may benefit from additional support or instruction tailored to their needs.
They’re ideal for guests with auditory, visual, cognitive, or mild strength impairments. The progression follows our traditional ski lesson structure but allows instructors to adapt goals, techniques, and equipment to best suit the participant.
Our PSIA-certified instructors have access to a variety of adaptive tools and devices that can be used alongside standard ski equipment to improve control, safety, and overall comfort on the mountain.
This type of lesson may be a great fit for:
-
Guests with conditions on the autism spectrum
-
Those with other cognitive or behavioral differences
-
Individuals with limited strength or coordination in their arms or legs
-
Anyone who does not require specialized sit-ski equipment for mobility
