We all know skiing and snowboarding brings people together. Young, old, rich and ski bums. Snowsports are an activity that can be enjoyed for a lifetime. Part of having fun on the slopes is being comfortable, using proper technique and staying within your ability level. If you have kids, knowing their ability level will help them to fall in love with the sport and help you avoid a melt down.
Take a look at this flow chart to help you decide your ability level.
These symbols can be seen throughout the mountain and will help you decide which runs are for you, and which runs you can skip.
Make sure you take a look at the trail map, before you start your day on the slopes. This can be a great activity to do with the whole family and you will seem like a pro when your out on the slopes, “I believe that’s Hully Gully, lets head over to Headin’ Home.” Knowing where the terrain you want is located will help you to avoid getting stuck a run that you don’t want to be on.
