Bonfire Dub is directly affiliated with Bonfire Entertainment, Stoughton’s brainchild that has created and produced a number of notable music events, including Campout for the Cause and WinterWonderGrass — festivals that have focused on the power of community, art, physical expression and environmental awareness.
Stoughton says the music of Bonfire Dub is hard to put a finger on, but easy to get lost in, inspiring listening hearts to dance for hope and move with positive expression.
Bonfire Dub plays a deep and powerful blend of roots music — original songs with rich melodies, featuring down tempo, acoustic laced and electric steel driven reggae, folk and dub. Bonfire’s lyrical repertoire is inspired from eastern philosophy, indigenous struggles, political injustice, international relief efforts and a deep respect for the soul of love and the balance of nature. Bonfire’s founder, Scotty Stoughton, interweaves stories of hope and struggle, derived from his humanitarian aid experiences in regions such as Central America and Haiti.
The Ry Taylor Duo opens for Bonfire Dub with singer, songwriter Ry Taylor taking lead in their unique Acoustic Groove, Americana, Latin Jazz, Alternative Rock genre.
