Are you interested in learning more about the night sky or just looking at stars, galaxies, and nebulas through a telescope? Join us near the Boat House at Monte Verde Lake on select weekend nights when the moon is dim and the heavens can shine. Amateur astronomer and astrophotographer Mike Hawkins will be on-site to operate the telescope, guide discussions, and answer questions.
Dress appropriately for the weather, as this event will be outdoors. Feel free to bring your chairs, blankets, and binoculars if you have them.
Please note: White-light flashlights and phone screens are all discouraged as they interfere with your and others’ vision adjustment and enjoyment of the night sky.
