Family Ski Day at Angel Fire Resort
This is top on our list of Family Must-Dos for Angel Fire, because our resort is truly built for families with a spectrum of ski abilities. The mountain has over 80 trails with 21% being Beginner, 56% Intermediate, and 23% Advanced. And Ski School is the best way to introduce your littles to the world of skiing. Unique to Angel Fire Resort: kids 6 and younger, and all 5th graders ski for free.
The Polar Coaster at Angel Fire Resort
Coast down our six-lane tubing hill for unrivaled family fun. The is the perfect photo-op for families. Only in Your State highlighted The Polar Coaster as the longest tubing hill in New Mexico, 1,000′ of fun! The hill is open from 10am – 5pm, and can be reserved for groups of 20 or more. Children must be 42” tall and sign a waiver. If your child isn’t tall enough for tubing, consider checking out the Sledding Hill! Visit the Village Haus or El Jefe after a day of tubing for some delicious refuel.

So if you only have one day to experience Angel Fire Resort with your family, definitely visit during the Winter Carnival and Last Shovel Race, held the weekend of January 31. Bring the whole family to play all day at the base of the mountain, participate in Shovel Races, or just be a spectator and take it all in! Carnival games and rides for children big and small will be open all weekend long!
