ZIPLINE NOW OPEN! A spectacular Rocky Mountain Zipline Adventure Tour starting at the 10,600’ elevation summit of the Angel Fire ski mountain. The first and only zipline tour in New Mexico!
Details: A zipline is basically a cable strung from a platform to a lower platform. Participants use a pulley and a harness along with our friend gravity to glide down the cable. It’s an adrenaline adventure that is safe and fun for the whole family. The Angel Fire Zipline Adventure Tour will be a series of ziplines starting near the Summit Haus restaurant. The tour will begin with an explanation of the equipment and safety precautions at the zipline school. The trained guides handle all of the equipment and once the first zip has been completed, the tour moves on to a longer cable which will start at the top of the Chile Express and head past the ski run Sluice Box. The next ride will bring you to just below the top of the Chile where a short walk will take you back to the top of the mountain.
The next stage of the tour will take riders from a platform near the Chile Express unloading area, past the ski run Maxwell’s Grant toward the new cell phone tower. It will be a dual zip, meaning it consists of two separate ziplines so two people can race side-by-side. After several more zips, the tour will finish with an ATV ride back to the top of the mountain. It is expected to be a 2 to 3 hour adventure.
Height: At the tour’s signature “super” line, adrenaline seekers soar hundreds of feet above the forest floor as they traverse from peak to peak, side by side, on a 1,600’ foot dual zipline.
