Day One: Zipline and Wine
Call it what you want, but zipline and wine is one of the funnest ways to experience Angel Fire Resort. Angel Fire’s Zipline Adventure Tours are one of the few ziplines in New Mexico. And it’s the only one that offers unique views of the stunning Sangre de Cristo mountains. Grab breakfast at The Lift Cafe, located inside The Lodge, and prepare for some fun. Afraid of heights, but still want to ignite the passion of love an adventure? Settle for a Scenic Chairlift Ride, and enjoy Moreno Valley like never before!
After a morning of high adventure, settle back in, and enjoy a glass or two of wine from the lounge at Elements, located in the Country Club. End the evening at Frontier Park, with the free Cool summer Nights concert series, held on select Friday nights throughout the summer.
Day Two: Green Belts & Margs
Start your day off right with a picturesque stroll through Moreno Valley on the Greenbelt trail system. One of our favorites circles around Monte Verde Lake, which is a full day adventure in itself. Carson National Forest, our local wildlife hot spot, also has some 5-star trails ripe for exploring. Try Angel Fire Resort’s newest restaurant, El Jefe. Serving the best in Mexican food and spicy margaritas, enjoy El Jefe’s patio with views of Wheeler Peak. Kick back at one of our great happy hours, or enjoy a special night out with dinner for two.
After the day’s activities, relax by enjoying our indoor heated pool. Book a room with a deck or patio to take in the breathtaking views of Wheeler Peak, ideal for unwinding and socializing.
Day Three: Shopping With The Locals
Start off your Sunday by rubbing shoulders with the locals at the Art + Farmer’s Market at Frontier Park. This high altitude farmer’s market offers the best in fresh, locally-grown produce and products accompanied by live music. Hold hands with your love and stroll around. Sunday morning is the ideal time sip on some locally roasted coffee, check out jewelry from New Mexican artisans, and stock up on unique souvenirs and gifts!
After the end of a long day of shopping, return to your vacation rental or room at The Lodge and pick up some cards or a board game from the concierge. And some rentals have fire pits, so roast some s’mores and open a bottle of local wine to enjoy together.
