New_Mexico_Family_Resort_offerWith many of New Mexico’s school districts moving to online-only this fall, we at Angel Fire Family Resort want to encourage your family to unplug and learn together in the Sangre de Cristo mountains. At your favorite New Mexico mountain destination, Angel Fire Family Resort, “Our Classroom is WIDE Open, and School is in Session!”

Angel Fire Family Resort is well known for its wide open spaces, smiling faces and large variety of wildlife. This summer take the opportunity to learn something new about your own backyard alongside your children. And with our exclusive summer Lodging Deal, now is the time to venture to our outdoor classroom. 

Stretch your mind and body with some fun family adventure in our outdoor classroom. Only offered at our New Mexico family resort. Explore the Green Belt trail system by bike and study local flowers, trees and fungi. Grab a seat on our scenic chairlift and explore the summit while learning about our unique geography and land features that make this New Mexico Family Resort so special. And on Fridays, take some free-ride downhill gravity laps. 

Be sure to rent your equipment and purchase a lift ticket if needed. Saturday- Summit Lunch

Meet @ Chile Express 12 PM

Grab your lunch to go from El Jefe and a scenic chairlift ticket. Jump on the Chile Express with a guide to check out the best views Angel Fire has to offer.  After lunch your local guide will take you for a short walk around the summit loop.

Sunday- Scenic Chair Ride and Hike

Meet @ Chile Express 9 AM – 12 PM

Grab a scenic chairlift ticket and first chair on the Chile Express to take a guided five mile hike back to the base area. Learn about the valley’s plants and wildlife and be back just in time for lunch!

Tuesday- XC Bike Ride

Meet @ Greenbelt’s Deer Trail head 6 PM

Take a cross-country bike ride with a guided course for all abilities, every Tuesday.  See scheduled dates online at angelfireresort.com/events.

Friday- Free-Ride Fridays

Meet @ Chile Express 12 PM

Calling all mountain bikers! Every Friday try out new downhill trails in the bike park with the confidence of fellow riders, all abilities are welcome. Be sure to rent or bring your own bike and get a lift ticket before you come

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT - Hugo Cisneros, Maintenance Supervisor Hugo has worked at Angel Fire Resort for over 10 years. His typical work day starts in the early morning when he tirelessly cleans lots and completes work orders for the Lodge and @afrvresort. He says what he loves most about his job is the chance to work outside and his boss, Aaron. In his free time, Hugo enjoys horseback riding, hiking, and a never-ending "honey-do" list at home. We asked him if there was anything else interesting about himself he'd like to share, and he said, "I consider myself a very boring person," with a sly smile. Legends Grill is open every day 4 PM - 9 PM We're keeping Legends Grill open every day all summer ☀️ long! Dine with us for dinner 🍽️🥤every day with our full menu 📋 Tuesday through Saturday, and enjoy pizza and appetizers on Saucy Sundays and Margherita Mondays 🍕. We can't wait to welcome you back or welcome you in for your first visit! Spring 🌱 🍃 is looking good here in Angel Fire! The snow is melting from the mountain, and we're looking forward to all the summer ☀️ fun that will come so soon. There are only 42 days to go until the Bike Park opens (May 17), and yes, we are counting because we're so excited for another fun summer season ☀️ 🚵 ! If you've got a 2024 Gravity Pass, you can come early for passholder preview day on May 16. Have you purchased your pass yet? Gravity Passes for @angelfire_bikepark are on sale now, and we're offering them for the same price as last year through opening day (May 17th). Take advantage of the lowest price and secure your summer downhill riding for: - Adult (16+) $375 - Teen & Junior (7 - 15) $325 - Child (6 & Under) $50 - Military (Active or Retired) $325 The Bike Park will open early on Thursday, May 16th, for Gravity Passholders and Angel Fire Resort Members. Lifts will spin Friday-Sunday for our first weekend and then the Bike Park will be open 7 days a week through Labor Day. After, we'll return to Friday-Sunday operations until October 27th.
