Many visitors spend their time at Angel Fire Resort hiking the numerous trails in and around the area. Our greenbelt trails are perfectly suited for walking, running, mountain biking, or horseback riding. More advanced hikers will want to check out our mountain trails — especially Enlightenment Trail, which spans thousands of vertical feet.
Looking for other ways to get around on the mountain? Take the Chile Express scenic chairlift to the top of the mountain to try out the Angel Fire Zipline Adventure Tour. Soar through the air above the beautiful scenery for a view most will never get to experience.
If you’d rather ride than fly, then Angel Fire Bike Park is for you. Ours is the largest bike park in the Rocky Mountains. It covers more than 60 miles of purpose-built, lift-served terrain. Rent all the gear you’ll need so you don’t have to pack anything other than a change of clothes and a sense of adventure. If you prefer a more leisurely pace, you can connect with a network of trails that run through the entire Moreno Valley. They’re ideal for cross-country biking.
Other area adventure options include horseback tours, hot air balloon rides, river rafting trips, and ATV and off-road tours. Additionally, Monte Verde Lake on Angel Fire Resort offers boating, paddleboarding, and fishing.
Play Itinerary
Competitive couples who love giving it their all can spend their long weekend sporting at Angel Fire Resort.
Many are eager to hit the links at our 18-hole golf course. When you tee off at 8,500 feet above sea level, it becomes obvious why. The awe-inspiring Rocky Mountains surround our par 72, 6,653-yard course. Even if your game is a little off, you won’t mind as much because of the gorgeous views available at each hole.
You can also take the Chile Express chairlift to the top of the mountain to play disc golf. Our 18-hole course is equipped with both amateur and pro tee pads. Scoring each of them takes you on a scenic hike passing through forested terrain that’s more than 10,000 feet above sea level.
